I Gotta Feelin'....

Every year, my school has a Talent Show for kids to perform in. As the grand finale of the show, a bunch of teachers do a choreographed dance. This year, we are dancing to "I Gotta Feelin" by the Blacked Eyed Peas. Below is a video of them performing on Oprah's season premiere this year...

A lot of our choreography (don't worry..we have a professional choreographer..we're all amateurs!!) is based on what the dancers are doing in the streets. I'm so excited..I think it's going to turn out AWESOME! For those of you who know me well, you know that I am NOT a dancer by any stretch of the imagination. I played soccer, and that's it! But I love-love-love doing the Talent Show every year because it gets me out of my element, and I think it's good for me to do something that's challenging/doesn't come easily for me..because it makes me feel so proud of myself in the end that I can actually do the dance!! And of course, the students all LOVE the fact that their teachers are dancing on stage! :)

Now, I'll leave you with a sweet conversation I had with two of my little ones today. The first one came up to and said: "Mrs. Smith, I think you're goodest looking teacher in this school." After I promptly thanked him for the (very generous) compliment, the second one says: "Well, I think you're the goodest teacher ever too!" Apparently, we need to work on our grammar. :)

Now, it's time for American Idol!!! I wonder what it's going to be like with Ellen on this year....

Happy Tuesday, Everyone!
