Weekend Fun: Bonner Run, Lake Mead, & CFA!!!

We had such a fun weekend!!!! We spent our Saturday morning doing a fun run/walk fundraiser for Shelby's school. It was a fun event!

After the run, we came home to eat lunch and let Brady nap. Apparently the run wore him out, too!!

After Brady's nap, we loaded up the car & headed out to Lake Mead for the first time!! We had the best time exploring & enjoying the views!!

Las Vegas finally got its first Chick-fil-a recently!! Unfortunately, it's located clear across town from where we live--a good 25-30 minute drive from our house. But it's rather close to Lake Mead, so we OF COURSE had to stop there for dinner on our way home the lake! Chick-fil-a never tasted so good!!!!

{Shelby only ever eats the chicken nuggets + fruit from CFA. She doesn't like French fries of any kind, but she shockingly asked us if she could try a waffle fry while we were there...and she liked it! Hooray!!} 

And the picture below doesn't it do it justice at all, but we got to enjoy the most gorgeous views of the sun setting behind the mountains as we drove home after dinner. Life in Las Vegas isn't too shabby!!

As we drove home, Derek & I just kept saying what a good day it had been. Days like that are just good for the soul. All five of us went to bed tired & happy. Other than church, we did absolutely nothing on Sunday b/c we were still so worn out! All three kids were tucked in by 6:45pm, and Derek & I weren't too far behind them!
