Grammy's Visit

About a week after our HHG arrived, my mom arrived for two whole weeks! She couldn't have arrived at a better time! We had already completely unpacked by the time she got here, but there are always about 1.2 million projects still left to tackle after all of the unpacking is finished. Plus, Derek had just gone back to work, so it was nice having her with me during the days when he was gone since life is always a little lonely after a PCS. Her entire visit can be summed up in three pictures.

Those three pictures really and truly sum up how we spent most of our time with my mom. If we weren't tackling a project, playing cards, or in the salon, we were probably at Target or Hobby Lobby! ;)  My mom & I ran countless errands during her visit trying to get our "architectural niches" {aka hardest areas ever to decorate} figured out. We had so much fun with her here & got SO much done!

My mom is a true helper in every sense of the word. She never ever hesitates to jump in and help when someone she loves could use an extra hand. This trip was terribly timed for my mom for a myriad of reasons, but she still came with a smile on her face {and latex gloves in her suitcase for nitty gritty cleaning}. She has been there for every single one of our house-hunting trips to watch our kids, and she's been there for every single one of our moves to help us get settled in our new home. She loves us so well, and we are so, so grateful!
