The next picture below is from the library when Brady had his very first experience ever with painting! He loved it so much! I, of course, felt guilty b/c I'd never let him paint before this! The girls adore arts & crafts of any kind, but I typically only allow them to do them when Brady is napping b/c it's just a million times easier without a toddler in the mix. Plus, I always think "Oh, Brady is too little for _____." But apparently, he's not so little anymore!

{Brady has been alllll about this alphabet puzzle the past couple of weeks!}
{my attempt at letting Brady do more arts & crafts}
The girls worked so hard to make handmade Christmas cards for about ten teachers/staff at their school this year. This is one of my favorites from Hadley. I wish I would taken a picture of one of Shelby's, but she wrote in a little rhyme/poem in each card. One of my favorites was for her bus driver in which she wrote something about her favorite gift being the fact that he always gives her a lift. ;)
The cement mixer rolled up one afternoon right after the girls got off the school bus & Brady woke up from his nap, and it provided a lot of entertainment for all of us! It was so fun that the timing of the cement mixer's arrival worked out that they could all three watch!
{library fun}
After the cement was poured, a dump truck dropped off a huge load of dirt. And this was just about as exciting as Christmas morning! ;) As you can see in the second picture, the girls were sliding down the "dirt mountain." Brady on the other hand wouldn't even set foot in the dirt!

The day after Christmas, we made a run to Hadley's favorite spot--Super Cuts! It was the first time all three of them have gotten their cut at the same time, so here's a little before & after!
We took down Christmas much earlier than we usually do, but it just felt like it was time this year. The girls were so much help putting everything up and taking everything down!
This next picture is nothing special, but it makes me so happy. Brady loves nothing more than to line up his toys on this window sill, but his space had a bit cramped over the past month b/c of the Christmas tree. This was the first morning the kids woke up with the Christmas tree gone, and as sad I was to see it go...I was so happy that Brady had his spot back, and now there was room for the girls to join him!
One of my favorite parts of Winter Break...more time for things like this that we all love! We went to our favorite park and library one morning after breakfast, and it just felt like all was right with the world! When we lived in Las Vegas, our library was so close I would take the girls at least one afternoon a week after school. {The proximity of our school, parks, and library in Vegas is one thing I'll never get over--I miss it so much!} But here in SA, our library is about 10-15 minutes away and traffic can be iffy...so it's usually just Brady & me that go while the girls are in school. But with school out, I cherish these little park and library trips with all three in tow.
This was an eventful year for us with our move to San Antonio & the girls starting at a new school, but it's been a good one for sure! We're looking forward to the new year & all that it will bring for our family!
