Mount Baldy

The first weekend after the school year started, we drove up to Mount Baldy. It's only about a 10-15 minute drive from our house, and we thought we'd give it a try since there was a break in the rain. After days on end of a constant drizzle, the trail was muddy beyond belief. Between the mud & the length of the trail being double what we anticipated (oops!), attitudes got a little salty at times..but it did our hearts so good to be outside enjoying Alaska! And surprise--there were wild blueberries to enjoy just off the trail. It ended up being one of our favorite family hiking experiences ever! We will definitely be doing this trail again soon.
