Easter 2023

To make our first Easter in Alaska extra "Alaskan," we got about 7 or 8 inches of fresh snow to help us celebrate! ;)  I got my hair cut the week before Easter, and my stylist {who is originally from Florida} was telling me how most of the snow had already melted by last Easter...which seems completely surreal since we still have feet of snow in our yard. She said the temps even reached the 50s last year, and they were able to eat their Easter meal outside! Say what?! Apparently, Alaska really wanted us to experience the fullness of its climate in our first year here. In August, everyone kept saying "August is the rainy month, but it's never this rainy!" In December, everyone kept telling us "It never snows this much!" And here we are again. ;)

First Easter egg hunt in the snow...check! :) It was also super weird walking into church on Easter morning because we typically always wear cute dresses and Spring colors on Easter Sunday...this year, we wore sweaters & snow boots! Definitely an Easter we won't soon forget!
