Our weather has consistently been gray, drizzly, and chilly....but we had two glorious days of sunshine & temps in the high 60s, one of which was Derek's birthday! We literally basked in every moment we could in the sunshine!
Derek's birthday fell on a Sunday, which meant church in the morning as a family & Shelby had a youth worship event in the evening. But in between, we managed to squeeze in a fun hike on Mount Baldy with friends & went out for ice cream! It was such a delightful day.
We were all kind of wiped from our busy day on Sunday, but Monday was too gorgeous to be spent indoors. I went for a run around the neighborhood and came back to this scene. The girls were taking turns adding a paragraph at a time to a joint story they were authoring together, and Brady was observing a bug he had caught. A perfectly slow summer morning.
When Derek got home from work, we ate dinner & headed out for a an evening walk together. I snapped a few pictures, and the background almost doesn't even look real! It was quite literally a picture-perfect day!
Looking forward to lots of more fun summer days ahead!
