Hello, Summer!

We have had such a sweet start to summer! The girls' youth group at church had a fun summer kick-off at Mirror Lake the day after school got out, and we also threw in a board game, first library haul of the summer, and a Taco Bell run for Brady & me--it was a 10 out of 10 kind of day!

We had Derek home for four days over Memorial Day Weekend, which was such a treat...and we had the most glorious weather to top it all off! We tried to make the most of it--Derek took Hadley and Brady fishing & shooting {their first time ever!} while Shelby was at home preparing for the state civics bee & a jazz band audition for her new high school, we spent an afternoon at Eagle River, went on family walks, and played lots of games!

{Hadley was taking a math placement test to help us plan for her math curriculum next year, and the other two wanted to join in the fun! So it was our first Saturday night of summer, and we spent it doing math!}
