Hello, 2nd Trimester!

It's hard to believe, but I have just embarked on the 2nd trimester of this pregnancy! It is really flying by! I've decided to start recording some of the pregnancy "highlights" here on the blog to share with our family & friends and as a way for us to remember what was happening and how we felt along the way. I've seen this template on a few other blogs of mommies-to-be, and I thought I'd give it a try! So here we go....

How far along: 13 weeks
Weight Gain: None yet. When I was weighed at my doctor's appointment on Friday, I was almost the exact same weight as I was on my 1st visit back in January...just 1/10 of a pound less this time!
Maternity clothes: No--I'm not really showing..yet! But I can definitely tell a difference in my belly..I'm looking a little "bloated" these days!
Sleep: Yes, please! I've definitely noticed an increase in my level of exhaustion lately! Derek & I went to Target for some grocery shopping this weekend, and I definitely fell asleep on the short drive home! (Not that this would really surprise my fam...) And the worst part is that I am STRUGGLING to make it through each episode of American Idol. I think I've actually only seen one entire episode from start to finish!
Movement: Not yet! But after seeing our little babe doing flips & twirls on the ultrasound last week, it's hard to believe that I can't feel anything!
Food cravings: Nothing really. For the past week or two, I've kind of been in a stage where nothing really sounds good. Nothing makes me sick or anything..I just have a hard time deciding on what to eat b/c nothing sounds super-appetizing.
Symptoms: I've been one of the lucky ones so far..never really had any nausea or morning sickness. My only pregnancy symptoms have been fatigue and going to the bathroom ALL.THE.TIME. I always knew that frequent urination was a common symptom of pregnancy, but I had no idea that I would be in the bathroom almost every hour!
Gender: We should find out in a about a month...CAN'T WAIT!
What I miss: Nothing :)
Best moment this week: Getting to see our sweet baby and hear his/her heartbeat for the very first time!
What I am looking forward to: Finding out if we're having a boy or a girl! My doctor put in the orders for the big ultrasound at our last visit, so I get to call the radiology department this week to make our appointment!
Milestones: We're 1/3 of the way there! Hard to believe we'll be a family of three in just 6 short months!
