{fourteen months!}
Here is what Miss Shelby is up to these days...
--you cut your top two teeth!
--you are officially only taking one afternoon nap now. It took you about a week to get used to only having one nap, but now you are a pro! You go down for your nap sometime between 12:30-1:30 (depending on how early you wake up in the morning) and usually nap for 3 hours...sometimes 4! You are a great napper!
--You have started to become a sleepyhead in the morning, which Mommy enjoys b/c I can get some chores done/check email/shower before you wake up most days. You are usually waking up around 8:30-9.
--You go to bed around 8pm.
--This month you learned what we affectionately call "the dropsies" in our house. You discovered it is fun to drop (sometimes throw) food from your highchair tray. We can't figure out why you do it..you have no discrimination when it comes to the dropsies. You drop food you like and food you don't like. It is beyond frustrating for your mama. I have resorted to spoon/hand-feeding you pretty much everything you eat, or else it all ends up on the floor. Sometimes you even drop your Wubbanub or your paci out of your crib when you wake up...and you are not happy when you realize Mommy isn't there to give them back to you. When this happens, I usually find you standing up in your crib looking longingly to your Wubby and paci on the floor..ha!
--cruising along the furniture!
--you will walk if we hold both of your hands. You can walk if we only hold one hand, but it usually makes you nervous so you will only go a couple of steps before plopping back down.
--you really found your speed with crawling this month! It's so funny to watch you...you will craw all over the carpet, but as soon as you get to the tile you switch back over to scooting b/c you like to scoot on smooth, slick surfaces. It's too cute!
--meal time continues to be one of your least favorite times (mine too!!) of the day. You are predominantly eating baby food (you will eat almost any flavor of stage 2 or 3..but you don't like any stage 3 with chunks!). The only table food you consistently eat is bananas, bread, crackers, and anything from the Gerber snack line--yogurt melts, apple wheels, etc.
--taking 3 bottles of whole milk a day. You drink water throughout the day from your sippy cup. We are contemplating switching you over to sippy cups for your milk soon...we'll see!
--we give you Benefiber in your bottles of milk. A friend suggested this as a remedy for your constipation, and it has been a life-saver for us!
--went down your first slide this month and LOVED it!

--you are learning lots of "tricks" and can do several of them on demand. I am most impressed b/c you understand what all of these questions/commands mean, and you can do them without me prompting you. I'm sure this list really isn't all that impressive to most people, but hey I'm a proud mama! It simply amazes me what babies can learn and understand so early in life.
**Where's Mommy's nose?**
**Where's your tongue?**
**Where's Mommy's head?**
**clap**
**wave**
**blow kisses*

There might be a few more tricks, but this is all I can recall for now.
--you still love to be read to and hear us sing to you.
--one of your favorite "games" to play this month was for you to try to put your paci or Wubbanub in my mouth when I come to get you after you wake up in the morning or after naps. You think it is so silly, and then of course you want it back immediately! Ha!

I love this next picture b/c this is something you do all the time these days..especially in your high chair! You like to tilt your head to the side, and it's so funny b/c it's like you know how cute you are when you do it!
