My Mom's Visit

I mentioned briefly in {this post} that my mom was here visiting. She actually came into town a couple of days before my birthday. Derek was still in Jackson on my birthday, and she didn't want me to be alone my birthday..SO sweet & thoughtful of her! {Okay, technically speaking I wouldn't have been alone b/c Shelby would have been here....but she had no clue it was my birthday! Ha!} It was SO nice having my mom here. It was a win-win-win situation for all 3 of us girls...my mom got to spend lots of quality time with her favorite baby, Shelby was loving all of the extra attention, and I got to sit back & put my feet up a bit! :)

And it's so nice to be able to share our little life with my mom. She got to accompany us to Kindermusik class, storytime, Excel by Five, and we also took trips to the local children's museum & the Kroc Center (indoor pool/splash pad). We had lots of fun! And once Derek got home, the two of us even got to sneak away for a date night while my mom kept Shelby for us! Thank you for everything, Mama! We miss you!

And yes, we are still rocking the Christmas PJ's in February here at our house. This girl seriously grows like a weed {even though she barely eats anything}, so we have to wear things as long as possible! She is already wearing some 3T clothes now...it's crazy!
