18 Months!

Okay, so this post is seriously late...but better late than never, right?! {I'm pretty sure I say that every.single.month. Oh, well!} Shelby, you are now 18 months old!

A year and a half old--that is so hard for us to believe too, Shelby-girl! ;) Even though we still refer to you as a baby all the time, you are truly becoming a little girl. Here are a few more of your eighteen month pictures....

{We see this face all the time...you love to pucker up your lips to suck air in & blow it out. We think you like the sound it makes?! Whatever the reason, you love it!}

Here is what Miss Shelby is up to these days....
--You have EIGHT teeth now! You have your top two & bottom two teeth, and then you have each of your one year molars. So you've got your front teeth and your waaaay-in-the-back teeth...and nothing in between! Ha! :)
--This month you started saying "hi" when you wave...it is so cute! :)
--Your eating habits have pretty much remained the same. Although, we have discovered that when Daddy comes home after work and eats his snack you will eat pretty much whatever he eats. You think it is so fun to be eating snack with Daddy. :)
--We discovered that you know all the letters in your name this month! {See blog post HERE.}
--You still love-love-love your Wubby {this is what we call your Wubbanub pacifier}. When you wake up in the morning or from your nap, we always leave Wubby in your crib. But then whenever we go upstairs throughout the day, you think the sole purpose of our trip up the stairs is to retrieve Wubby! You just stand next to your crib and reach in for him! It's pitiful! ;)
--You LOVE to play outside!
--You are very into stacking these days! You love to stack blocks, but you don't discriminate when it comes to stacking. You will even stack your food! :)
--You still love to throw everything off your tray during meal time and throw everything out of your crib when you wake up...much to Mommy's dismay. ;)
--We are AMAZED by your receptive vocabulary. We ordered Shelby {THESE} Touch & Feel "board book" material flash cards of kids' first words, and we were amazed that she knows them. We'd lay them all out and ask her where the cat is, and she'd point right to it! I love that she loves learning at this age. We do her flash cards and read books a hundred times a day, and she still can't get enough. :)
--You are still a WONDERFUL sleeper, and we are beyond thankful for that!

I can't wait to do your 19 month post soon! In just the past two weeks since your eighteen month birthday, you have changed SO much!
