Sprinkler + Bubbles = Lots of Fun!

This past Sunday evening, we broke out the sprinkler for the first time with Miss Shelby. Usually, whenever she sees me watering our flowers with the hose or sees the sprinkler running she is all about it. But of course when we get the sprinkler out just for her, she's not nearly as interested..ha! She was very observant--just watching the sprinkler go back and forth across the yard. She got a very shocked look on her face every time she got hit with the water. It was hilarious! But things really got fun when we started blowing bubbles. After a few minutes of watching the sprinkler, Shelby brought me her bottle of bubbles. I was reluctant to start blowing them b/c I wanted her to engage with the sprinkler., but I'm so glad I indulged her b/c I had no idea how fun the bubbles would be with the sprinkler! Since the grass was wet, the bubbles were landing on the grass {and patio, too} without popping. So Shelby had a blast playing with them! In one of the pictures below {kind of towards the middle of the ginormous photo dump} where Shelby is looking at her hands, she actually managed to pick up the bubble from the patio into her hand without it popping! We had such a fun family evening! :)













And yes, running through the sprinkler with nothing but Crocs on is how we roll...ahem, it's how Shelby rolls. But no worries, we stayed inside our fenced-in backyard! ;)
