Summer Days....

Here's how we've been spending our days this summer!

Shelby is really starting to get more creative & elaborate with her
pretend play. Here she is building a ramp for her "friends" to slide down.

Shelby's old sunglasses were too small for her to wear,
so she insisted they were perfect for Baby Hadley!

We checked out another book on CD
from the library for Shelby. It amazes us
that she can listen to it over & over & over
again & still ask to do it more!

First movie at the movie theater!
Our local theater offers a kids' summer movie program.
They show previously released movies for $3.50, and the
price includes a kids size popcorn & drink. Shelby gets in
for free, so it was a cheap & super-fun way to spend a hot day!

Shelby was mesmerized!
We saw Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs.
Shelby really enjoyed it, but there was a bit too
much action for her liking. She said "Oh, no!" about
10 million times throughout the 90min movie. Ha!

If you ask Shelby what her favorite part of the movie was,
she'll tell you it's when the words "The End" popped up at the
end of the movie. She is still talking about that for some reason...
who knows why?!?!

I thought Hadley would sleep throughout the whole
movie b/c it would be dark & she'd be in my arms.
Boy was I wrong! She would NOT take her eyes off
the screen! I tried to put my nursing cover on to feed her
at one point, and she flipped out b/c she couldn't see! Ha!
