Blog Books, Boards, & Birthdays: Randomness for your Wednesday :)

Just a few random thoughts on this rainy Wednesday....

--With Shelby being gone this week at Camp Grammy & Grampy, I'm trying to take advantage of the extra quiet time & cross some projects off of our "to do list." I haven't gotten nearly as much done as I'd hoped I would yet, but I've definitely made progress! One of the biggest things was getting our 2012 blog book ordered..yay! Can't wait to get it in the mail!
--The Surgeon General of the Air Force came to Keesler's hospital today for a visit, and Derek had to speak in the presentation they gave for him. I would have been a nervous wreck doing something like that, but of course Derek never broke a sweat & was calm as a cucumber! Very proud of him!
--Speaking of Derek, his Internal Medicine Boards are tomorrow in Mobile. I know he's going to do great! It will be a big load off his plate to have this test behind him, so I'm excited for him that it will all be over after tomorrow!
--We finally nailed down the date for Shelby's 3rd birthday party, and I really need to get busy on the planning! Her two favorite things right now are Sesame Street & the Disney Princesses. I decided to go with a Sesame Street theme for her party b/c I figure we could always do a Princess Party for future birthdays when she's a bit older, but Sesame Street is good for these younger years. :)  So we've got the theme & the date finalized, but that's about it! My problem is there is just waaaay too many options/ideas between Etsy & Pinterest....NOT GOOD AT ALL for an indecisive person like me! ;)
--We've been enjoying our one-on-one time with Miss Hadley Mae this week! When Derek got home from work last night, we took advantage of it not being unbearably hot & humid for once & sat outside on the patio. Derek drank a beer & I sat in the rocking char with Hadley while we chatted about our days. It was so nice & relaxing. After about 15 minutes of chit-chatting, Derek looked at me & said: "I don't remember it being this easy when Shelby was a baby." ;)  The second time around with a baby, we are both much more relaxed {most of the time..ha!}. What we were so stressed out about when we just had one little baby?! ;)  Perspective is such a funny thing.

--And still missing our Shelby-girl like crazy! But we know she is having SO much fun! She got to go to Zoo Atlanta with Grammy & Grampy today. :)

Happy Wednesday, Everyone!
