Hadley: Six Months Old!

I have NO idea how it's possible, but we are halfway to celebrating Hadley Mae's first birthday! 

Happy {Belated} Six Months, sweet girl!

Hadley, you turned 6 months old waaaay back on September 19th. Not a whole lot of "new" stuff to share about you this month. Aside from your sudden-onset of stranger anxiety around your big sister's 3rd birthday {which I think we're completely over now}, you're still the sweetest, most easy-going baby. You're always just so content. Every time we go out somewhere as a family, your Daddy and I always say to each other what a good baby you are. And you really, really are. We always say Shelby was our high-maintenance baby, and you are our go-with-the-flow baby. You also love-love-love to laugh & squeal with delight. I don't remember the laughs coming quite so easily when Shelby was your age, but oh how I love to hear you laugh! And my favorite new thing lately is that if I can get you belly laughing, Shelby will start belly laughing right along with you. And there is seriously nothing sweeter to a Mama's ears than to hear both of her babies belly laughing together. It's just good for the soul!

Right after your 6 month birthday, we started baby-led weaning with you. Right now, you're not actually eating a whole lot...but you're exploring & you love it! So far, you have tried bananas, bread, grilled cheese, green beans, grapes {through those little mesh bag thingys}, puffs, mandarin oranges, & applesauce. It's messy, but fun! We're hoping you'll be our good eater!! ;)

You're trying to sit, but we're not quite there yet! Usually when I put you down
in the sitting position, you lock your knees to stand up. ;)  Hopefully we'll
have the sitting thing down by next month! :)

What else? You're still sleeping well {with one middle of the night feeding} & nursing well. Daddy still gives you your bath & bottle of pumped milk before bedtime...this is your special time with Daddy every day. There are always lots of squeals coming from the bathtub during this time! ;)  I think that's about it for this month! :)  We love you, Hadley!
