Halloween 2013

Halloween was SO fun this year! I have so many wonderful memories from the day! We started Halloween off with storytime at one of our local libraries & then headed over to a goodbye lunch at Chick-fil-a for my friend Erin whose family just PCSed. Here is a picture of Erin, Julia, and I with our five precious girls.

Lunch with five kiddos under the age of 5 is a bit chaotic to say the least, but it was SUCH a fun afternoon! We will miss Erin, Craig, & Zoey!! Hopefully our paths in the Air Force will cross again soon!

After lunch, Grammy & Grampy had arrived to spend the weekend with us! It was SO fun to have them here with us for Halloween! Here are a few pictures of us from the evening!

Posing with Jill the Jack-o-Lantern before heading out for Trick-or-Treating!

We met up with the Goins for trick-or-treating & started the kids at our house for
a practice run!

It started off good, but I think the kids just thought they were
getting together for a playdate ;)  Notice how Adam is trying to come inside for the toys! Ha!

One of my favorite pictures of all time!
I love the smiles these two kiddos are giving one another...such sweet friends!

And we're off!
Mr. Ben is pulling Shelby & Adam in the wagon...
this was by far the highlight of Shelby's night! She loved their wagon!
She didn't care at all about the candy, she just kept asking to "get back
in the little red wagon" ;)

Baby Hadley & Baby Will's turn for a ride in the wagon!

Shelby & Zoey

The Smith Girls took over the Goins' wagon ;)

Grammy & Grampy were kind of to hold down the fort at our house
while we took the girls around the neighborhood. I'm not sure what Shelby
enjoyed more--riding in the wagon or passing out candy at our house as
she watched all of the costumes parading up & down our sidewalk!

As Shelby was helping pass out candy, a little boy came up to our house to trick-or-treat in a camo military uniform. My mom asked him if he was supposed to be Army or Air Force. The little boy (maybe 4 years old?) answered: "I'm just a soldier guy." Shelby replied: "He's going to workey turkey!" {"Workey turkey" is how she refers to Derek's work.} It was so cute!! One of my favorite memories of the day!

Shelby & Grace

This may have been my very favorite Halloween ever...such a fun day with family & friends! And nothing beats trick-or-treating on Keesler AFB! ;)
