Life Lately

Here's a hodge podge of pictures to give you an idea as to what we've been up to lately! The weather has been really spring-like, so we've spent lots of time outside soaking it up!

Stomp rocket in the driveway..it's hard to see, but I love the smile on Hadley's face as she's looking at Shelby :)
Painting her nails pink & red for Valentine's Day!

Had to wake this Sleeping Beauty up for school one morning this week.

Our non-school days are usually spent at the library (Tuesdays) or at the playground with the Goins (Thursdays), so we rarely have days where we stay home all day anymore. This Thursday, the Goins were sick. I thought about planning something for us to do b/c the three of us girls tend to be happier when we're out and about, but at the last minute I decided for us to just stay home..and we had the best day! We made our favorite pumpkin chocolate chip muffins for breakfast, the girls played their beloved sleep game, I taught them how to play school (LOVE!), we went for a bike ride..it was just delightful!!

The Sleep Game :)

One of my very favorite pasttimes as a child (aside from playing Barbies with my sister) was playing school, so I took great pleasure in teaching the girls how to play school! They loved it!

And I didn't take many pictures, but we had the best family day yesterday! After we woke up, we headed to Shipley's to get donuts before going over to Helotes Market Days. Shelby's preschool is located in Old Town Helotes, and Old Town has a cute little old timey-ish Main Street if you will. The first Saturday of every month, they have Market Days where tents are set up with food, crafts, music, etc. We had the best time strolling through the tents together, it was really so much fun! After coming home for lunch/naps and pizza for dinner, we took the girls up to a big open field across the street from our neighborhood with soccer balls in tow. They had the time of their life! It's such a refreshing reminder..all kids really need to be happy is their family, nature, and a ball! :)  They were WORN OUT on the walk home..we couldn't get them in their beds fast enough once we got home!

Shelby got a new children's bible for Christmas, and for the past week and a half or so she has been REALLY into it! This was Shelby curled up on the couch this morning reading it :)

The girls got a cupcake at church this morning, and we let them eat them after lunch.
Clearly, Hadley enjoyed the pink frosting!

A little blurry for some reason, but here was our Super Bowl viewing party! :)

We're looking forward to a great week and a long weekend ahead! Derek already had Monday off for Presidents Day, but he was able to snag a day of leave on Tuesday...so we've got a 4 day weekend coming up with temps in the upper 70s--can't wait!!!
