What better way to spend the first day of October than at an apple orchard?! It was such a fun day for all of us. In my 32 years, I've never been to an apple orchard or picked a pumpkin right off the vine...and here I was doing it in the middle of the Vegas desert today, who would have thought?!?! I didn't take too many pictures b/c I was struggling to see anything on my phone's camera with the intense morning sun, but here's a few snapshots of our first visit to Gilcrease Orchard!

It was such a fun way to spend our morning! And it was so crazy to me that this place was smack dab in the middle of the city! When we came home, the girls got right to work decorating their pumpkins with Sharpies and then they wanted to make an apple pie...b/c what else are we going to do with 8 pounds of apples?!
 |
| Of course neither of the girls liked the apple pie (I can't blame them b/c I don't either!), but they had so much fun making it!! |
After decorating our pumpkins & baking our pie, it was time to cheer on our Dawgs! The driver of our wagon ride at the orchard was actually a Dawg fan! It's so fun to run into other UGA or even other SEC fans when you're this far from home!
 |
| The girls usually have "tablet time" when they wake up in the mornings on the weekends, but since we were out the door so early this morning we let them play a little during the game instead. I love how we have a huge couch on the other side of the living room, but they wanted to both be on the small couch with Derek. ;) |
The game didn't turn out like we'd hoped, but we salvaged our evening with a bike ride to the park & pizza for dinner!
Hooray for Saturday!
