In just one short month, we will be celebrating this guy's first birthday!!!
I really & truly have NO IDEA how eleven months have come & gone so quickly. This past year has been an absolute whirlwind between the move, Shelby starting Kindergarten, and adding a new baby to the mix...but it sure has been sweet! Brady is hands-down our easiest baby, and since he's the third baby we've been able to enjoy him so much more. {We certainly enjoyed the girls as babies too, but there was also a lot of worrying involved since we were newbies when it came to babies & parenting.} All four of us are just over the moon for this little guy, and the girls are still just as smitten with their little brother as they were the day we brought him home from the hospital.
Not much has changed since last month--Brady is still consistently sleeping through the night & taking two good naps a day. {One of the things I'm most excited about with summer on the horizon for us is not having to coordinate Brady's naptimes around dropoff/pickup times--HALLELUJAH!!} He continues to be a great eater {blackberries + kiwi are his faves} & nurser {4x/day}. He's got his two bottom teeth plus one on the top just popped through this week! He is also now a fan of the stroller! I have started running with Hadley & Brady in the jogging stroller in the mornings after we drop Shelby off at school, and he loves it! Other favorites include the water table & Sandra Boynton books.
And a few other pics/videos from the past month:
{This is a perfect example of how things have changed from Baby #1 & #2 to #3. We never ran with Shelby as an infant. What if she got tired?! What if she didn't like it?! When Hadley was a baby & Shelby was a toddler, it was always a whole thing getting us ready for a run. I had to have a water, snack, and toys for each of them, and I always waited to go for my runs right when they woke up in the morning or after a nap so they were in good moods. Now, we just go for a run after we drop Shelby off. There isn't any prep involved. As you can see, the only "toy" Brady has are the sunglasses Shelby tossed in his lap as she went into school that morning. And you know what? He was as happy as a clam! Maybe the key to enjoying motherhood more is having more kids so you worry less?!}
{I can't get enough of that sweet smile! Big Sister is to blame for the mess, ha!}
And this video certainly isn't going to win me any videography awards, but I just had to include it. Nobody can make Brady laugh like Hadley does! And I also just love how he has a Barbie brush in his hands in the video. Pretty obvious he's got two big sisters, huh?!
Today was Brady's 11 month birthday, and yesterday was Derek's 33rd!! We didn't do anything special to celebrate {other than make yummy cupcakes, open cards/gifts, & give him a few extra hugs and kisses}, but it was absolutely perfect. We had lots of family time in the pool, at the park, and reading on the couch! I know one day in the not too distant future our weekends will be filled with kids' sporting events and/or social calendars, but we are immensely enjoying this season of our life where our weekends are spent together at home or out exploring our city together.
{This was the only birthday-ish photo we got--this was taken right after we'd woken up & the girls gave Derek their gifts.}
