This week certainly held more than its fair share of stress & challenges for us, but what a gift it was through it all. Derek's clinic was even closed for the duration of the week & we were so thankful to have him with us for nine straight days! Derek & I were both amazed by how much our three kiddos enjoyed the snow. They stayed out for hours each time we suited them up and were so joyful! I thought for sure Brady would get cold & want to come in early, but he never once complained of being cold! They handled it like pros!
This was such a momentous week for our kids! This is the first time they will ever remember waking up to snow at our house. And it's the first time any of us have seen snow since 2018 when we visited Sequoia National Park. Fast forward to 2021, and Brady is wearing Hadley's 2018 snowsuit/jacket & Hadley is wearing Shelby's. Crazy how time flies! And clearly, Brady's feelings on snow have changed a bit in three years! ;)
The five of us all head back to work and school tomorrow after an adventure-filled week! Aside from a boil water notice & slim-pickings at the grocery store, things almost feel like normal again! Derek was outside working on our deck today wearing shorts & short sleeves in 74 degree weather..crazy the difference a week makes! I'll be back soon with more pictures of our snowy fun!
