Hadley's 9th Birthday

The day after we arrived home from Boston was Hadley's 9th birthday! Her birthday fell on a Saturday, which is when Derek typically makes pancakes for breakfast. Hadley requested we have our usual Saturday pancake breakfast, followed by Whataburger for lunch, and Kraft mac & cheese for dinner!

{BooBoo included this fun cake topper in Hadley's birthday gift that we immediately put to use!}

{annual birthday date with Mama to Barnes & Noble, and then we stopped by Crumbl on the way home}

The day after Hadley's birthday, we swung by to pick up her BFF Violet and headed to Sweet & Sassy to continue the celebrating!

They both received the "Ultimate Spa Package," which included an up-do, manicure, pedicure, facial, & they each got to create their own bath salts & sugar scrubs to take home.

And last but not least, a special birthday card made by Shelby that I don't want to forget...

We love you, Hadley Mae!

Spring Break 2022 | Boston | Part Three

We visited the Harvard Museum of Natural History one day. Admission was free for military families, which was a nice perk! It didn't hold a candle to the Boston Museum of Science, but it was still a fun experience for all of us! We all enjoyed the opportunity to see and walk around the Harvard campus.

The three pictures below are all from the Boston Public Library, which was an amazing library!

Prior to our experience in Boston, we had never seen {or eaten at!} a Chick-fil-a in such a unique, urban setting. Ordering/food pick-up was on the main floor, and then you had to walk up the stairs for the dining areas.

We of course had to walk to Boston Public Garden to see the Make Way for Ducklings sculpture. {Someone had hand-crafted scarves in the colors of the Ukrainian flag and placed them on the ducklings.}

Our evening routine in the Air BNB was to shower, get jammies on, and watch reruns of Wipe Out.

{walking along the Freedom Trail again & visiting the Democratic Donkey outside Old City Hall}

{enjoying my lobster roll & clam chowder at Quincy Market}

{Faneuil Hall}

{every time we walked around the city, which was a LOT, I always had my head on a swivel! The architecture & history of the city was so beautiful}

Riding the T for the last time to the airport to head back to Texas!

{Brady asleep on our way home from the airport}

It was such a fun Spring Break...unlike any other we've ever had!
