On September 17th, we celebrated Shelby's thirteenth birthday--we officially have a teenager in our house! We celebrated with an ice cream cake from Cold Stone for the second year in a row!
And of course birthday donuts were a must to start the day! And then we moved on to presents. With freshly pierced ears, lots of Shelby's gifts this year were new pairs of earrings!
We spent Shelby's birthday playing games together & eating dinner at Olive Garden--second year in a row for that, too! She really wanted to go bowling too, but our bowling alley on base is currently finishing up a remodel...so hopefully we'll get to do that very soon!
Shelby also had a special birthday trip to see Hamilton on its last day in Anchorage with Derek a week before her birthday.
Shelby is so fun & so easy to celebrate. We're so grateful she's ours! We thank God everyday for the gift that she is to our family.
