The kids' first day without school/start of Winter Break was Friday the 20th, but Christmas Eve felt like our first official real day of Christmas Break. Derek was in Japan until Saturday night, and then on Sunday we were busy with church & serving and Derek was still readjusting to regular life. We did manage to sneak in making Derek's favorite molasses crinkle cookies on Sunday!
On Monday Derek had a full day of work, and then Shelby and I were serving at early Christmas Eve services at our church. On Tuesday (Christmas Eve), we all slept in until 10am..it was glorious! And since we had attended our Christmas Eve service early on Sunday at church, we had a fun, full day of Christmas Eve at home! We spent some time chatting with family on the phone, baking bookies for Santa, watching movies, Advent, steak dinner made by our favorite chef Dada, and the grand finale...the kids passing out their presents they gifted everyone!

It was the most perfect Christmas Eve spent with my favorite people!
