November 2024

December is here! But first, a quick look back at November. Highlights of the month were our trip to Disneyland, the boys' camping trip, and Thanksgiving!

This is the very first time in our marriage that we have ever done this, but the day we put our Halloween decor we immediately put up our Christmas decorations! We'd already had tons of snow by then, and it just felt like Christmastime already...so we went with it! Somehow I got zero pictures of us decorating (boo!), but we have enjoyed the extra time with the Christmas decor! One of the upsides of our smaller house is that our house feels so sweet & cozy at Christmastime, I love it!

Okay, without further ado...here's a peek at our November:

{Brady starting his Thankful Turkey..in Halloween jammies, ha!}

We went to the library for Hadley's Eagle River Spinners meeting one morning, and Shelby brought some homework along with her. For some reason, seeing her set up at a table working in the library made her seem so grown up!

When Hadley's meeting ended, she spotted a puzzle...so we stayed a bit longer! We sure do love the library!

{Shelby was making Christmas cards for deployed service members with NJHS at her school--her cards turned out beautifully!}

Brady's interest in learning to crochet has recently reignited, and Hadley was eager to impart her knowledge! This is their first "lesson" in progress.

{homeschool lunch date!}

We had a quiet, low-key Thanksgiving...and it was perfect! We all slept in & then had pancakes while watching the parade. We had our Thanksgiving lunch {ham, hashbrown potatoes, cream corn, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, stuffing, rolls, pumpkin pie, and caramel pie!} then headed to see the new Moana 2 movie! The rest of the weekend was filled with Christmas-y fun {wrapping gifts, addressing cards, and fun projects!} and football. (GO DAWGS!)

The day after Thanksgiving, we kicked Christmas into high gear by decorating gingerbread houses & doing BooBoo's annual Christmas craft.

And the perfect way to end our November photos is with Brady's Thankful Turkey! This year he was thankful for: God, snow, my home, my family, food, Christmas, fun, fireplace, AK (Alaska), camping, games, DK (Donkey Kong), catch, golf, hugs, and books.

We are looking forward to all that December will bring! Living here is truly like living in a snow globe, and we are excited to soak up our last white Christmas in Alaska!
