Our Week

We had busy week this past week {as I mentioned in my last post, I had a KSC Board mtg, hair appt, hosted a KSC fundraiser, dr appt, Kindermusik, MMO, amongst various errands..busy!} & Derek was working nights, but we managed to squeeze some fun in, too!

Shelby giving Uga a smooch! :)

Shelby & I made Valentines for her playgroup friends. We are having a little playgroup Valentine's party this week, which should be a lot of fun!

Shelby finger painted the cards then she decorated them with stickers. Finally, I had her
glue on the little note. Her favorite part of this activity came as a surprise to me. Usually
painting & stickers are 2 of her favorite things of all time..but after painting & decorating so
many cards, those activities got to be a bit boring. But she seriously could have glued all day!
Note to self: more crafts involving glue in the near future! :)

I also made some little Valentines for Shelby to pass out in her MMO class on Thursday. Her class isn't exchanging Valentines, but the teachers said we could still send something in to pass out. :)  So we just did something little. This idea was found on the Life Sweet Life blog HERE, and she even has a free printable for it! I love how these Valentines turned out! I was so thankful Shelby had two occasions to pass out Valentines for {playgroup & MMO} b/c the mom in me knew she would have fun creating her own Valentines, but the other part of me really wanted to do something cutesy. Thrilled that we had an excuse to do both this year!

We went to Chick-fil-a for dinner after Kindermusik on Tuesday evening. I was so excited that they had their chicken tortilla soup back, and Shelby was excited the cow was there! :)

I downloaded a new book to my Nook this week: Sparkly Green Earrings. I just started it, but I'm so excited about it!

Derek totally surprised me on Saturday morning by bringing home Chick-fil-a on his way home from working the night shift. It was a great start to our weekend! Derek had Saturday night off, but we just laid low all weekend to help Derek recuperate from his long week at work. It was just what we all needed!

Derek is back to work tonight, but we had a family date night to our favorite Mexican restaurant before he went to work. It was a nice treat!

We are looking forward to a fun week ahead with Valentine's Day fun & celebrating the end of night float for Derek with a long weekend! Yay! :)
