Disney World, Part 4: Wrap-Up

For our trip to Disney World we got a 4 day hopper pass to the parks, but we actually had 5 full days at Disney World. So on one of the days that Derek was at his conference, the rest of us took a day off from the parks & spent some time at the pool. Here's a couple pictures I captured of our pool time. :)

Grampy is sporting Shelby's hat :)

Happy girl!
I think that wraps up just about all of our pictures from Disney! The drive home definitely wasn't as easy or as smooth as the drive to Disney World was. I think we were all just tired from our time at the parks, and Hadley decided she no longer enjoyed her carseat after spending so much time in it all week. {We've been home for a week & a half now, and she's still not on good terms with her carseat! Ha!} So between 2 tired parents, a grumpy toddler {who never sleeps in the car}, and a baby who couldn't sleep longer than 30 minutes at a time in the car...it made for a looong drive home! ;)  But we survived!

This sums up how all 4 of us felt about the drive home ;)

Going to Disney World with a toddler & a newborn definitely wasn't easy, but I'm SO glad we went! We had so much fun & made so many special memories for our family! One of my favorite moments from our first day at Magic Kingdom was when we were watching a parade and Ariel looked right at Shelby and blew her a kiss. Shelby turned around to look at me in awe and said "Mommy, I caught it!" {Meaning she caught her kiss!} Then she quickly turned back to Ariel and blew her a kiss...melted my heart! We know Shelby probably won't remember anything from this trip, but I know my parents and Derek & I will never forget seeing Shelby's face light up at the sight of each of the princesses. We'll never forget how excited she was to see Mickey Mouse for the first time. I'll never forget how special it was to share ice cream with my big girl on Main Street. I'll always remember her sweet little voice saying: "That's where Cinderella lives!" whenever we saw the castle in Magic Kingdom. I'm so thankful we were able to take this family trip together!

And one more thing I don't want to forget from this trip.....

Since we were at the happiest place on Earth, Miss Hadley Mae decided it was the perfect time to start smiling & cooing! :)  We love this sweet baby!

A smiling Hadley as she lays on Grampy's tummy :)
