On Wednesday, the four of us & my mom spent the morning at the Georgia Aquarium, the girls loved it!! It has me so excited for the new aquarium that is scheduled to open soon here in San Antonio!
Then that evening, we had the pleasure of going out to eat with our friends Bret & Jenny since they were also in town for Thanksgiving. What are the odds that one of your best friends from high school ends up marrying one of your hubby's best friends from high school and then the four of you get to go on the crazy military journey together?! Their friendship is such a blessing to us. Hopefully one of these days we'll end up at the same base, but if not we'll settle for getting to see them when our visits home overlap. ;)

My parents kept the girls while the four of us went to dinner. It was so fun seeing the three of them playing together! |
Our last day in GA was Thanksgiving Day, and it was such a good day! We had a low-key day at home with just my parents and delicious food, a perfect way to spend the holiday! The girls got to make cookies, go to the park, and we ended the night by making a little trip to Lake Lanier's Magical Nights of Lights. (We didn't get any pictures at Lake Lanier though b/c it was FREEZING!)

At the Atlanta airport getting ready to head back to SA on Black Friday. We were looking right into the sun as you can tell by the girls' eyes. ;) |

So, so thankful for the precious time we got to spend with our family & friends! It was such a fun week! I have such fond memories of spending summer vacations & holidays in St. Louis with our extended family when my sister & I were growing up, and I love that our girls are making their own memories in Georgia.
