We had such a fun weekend! Derek had to work late on Friday night since he's on call this month, but the girls & I had a fun evening at the playground! Shelby has recently mastered the rock wall & "trickly ladders" at our neighborhood playground, and she is super proud of herself! And we are incredibly proud of her as well b/c it has taken her lots of practice & lots of time to gain the confidence in herself to do so!

| She is always smiling ear to ear when she makes it to the top on her own! |
We started our Saturday celebrating sweet Adam's fourth birthday at the Goins' neighborhood playground! It was such a fun morning!
 |
| Love this family so much! |
 |
| Sweet, sweet friends! |
We all came home & took naps after the party. ;) When we woke up, we made a last-minute decision to have an early dinner and then head out to Sea World for the evening. We hadn't been there since the summer b/c they cut back their hours extensively, but they're open late on weekends now for the holidays. We weren't sure what to expect, but it was so well done for Christmas! The girls loved it!

| Right before our rollercoaster ride :) |
 |
| They had a Chrimstas themed dance party with all of the Sesame Street characters, Shelby had the BEST time!! |
 |
| Not the best picture, but I thought it was a good keepsake of our first Christmas in San Antonio :) |

| Blurry & Shelby clearly wasn't ready for the picture, but the lights were beautiful! This was the Candy Cane Forest :) |
We spent our Sunday at home catching up on laundry, reading, playing, listening to Christmas music, & clearing off Daddy's never-ending to-do list. During the week, whenever anything goes wrong or something breaks Shelby will just say: "It's okay, Daddy will fix it!" Not sure where she learned that phrase. ;) Each day, we add at least one thing to his list. ;) Sometimes it's small things like fixing the tracks on the train table (why can I never figure out how to do that?!) or straigtening the star at the top of the tree, and other times it's big things. This weekend one of Daddy's projects was spray painting a shelf & hanging it in the laundry room for me. And his other Sunday project was "Daddy Dinner"--steaks, twice baked potatoes, & asparagus. Shelby, Hadley, & I are lucky girls! The girls' future husbands are going to have BIG shoes to fill!

We had a great weekend, but today is definitely a Monday! Shelby woke up with a bit of a cold & our dryer decided to stop
working with a load of wet clothes in them, ugh! Thankfully, our sweet
neighbor dried our clothes for us. But poor Derek just got another big
project added to his list! ;)
 |
| We stayed home today in the hopes of Shelby having a speedy recovery! Lots of time resting & reading--the girls' favorite!! |
