We've been loving daylights savings & the extra daylight in the evenings! It's been so nice to get out & play in the backyard with Hadley's new Tball set after dinner with Daddy. Shelby said hitting off the T was too easy & that she wanted us to pitch to her. We of course said she could give it a whirl, but we explained beforehand that it was hard and might take a while to learn that skill. But boy did she prove us wrong! She took right to it!
4. Family Night at Target
Shelby has been saving money for a few months now (money that she gets from her birthday or coins she earns here & there from us for doing something above & beyond), but both girls got a good bit of coins in their Easter eggs this year so they were itching to make a trip to Target to spend a little! We have done this with Shelby on 2 or 3 occasions in the past, but this was Hadley's first time having her own money to spend. Our Target has a Starbucks inside, so we also let the girls bring along their Starbucks gift cards they got from us for Valentine's Day since we hadn't used them yet. It ended up being such a fun night! And we think this is such an enjoyable, practical way to start teaching the girls the value of money, how to save, how to count out your money, etc. They both purchased an Imagine Ink book with their money, and Shelby also purchased a Melissa & Doug sticker book. Shelby is soooo me through & through, she always wants to save all of her candy & money just like I did as a kid! She had almost 20 bucks to spend (she had been saving for a while plus she was lucky enough to find the Golden Egg at the Gallimores' house & our house on Easter!) but made sure to save more than half of her money!

3. Sandals: Buy This, Not That!
I seriously love the blog Sheaffer Told Me To {formerly Pinterest Told Me To}. I don't buy a ton of the stuff she recommends, but it's so nice to be able to stay somewhat connected to the world of fashion from the comfort of my couch. Since I don't get to shop without kids and am almost always surrounded by other young mamas dressed in yoga pants, I would have NO CLUE what is "in" without Sheaffer's blog! Anyways, all of that to say...I was thinking about purchasing some new everyday sandals this year that were something other than flip-flops. Don't get me wrong, I love flip-flops! I just wanted another option in my closet for when I was feeling a little crazy! ;) I loved this pair that Sheaffer highlighted on her spring/summer shoe post {HERE} recently:

I almost pulled the trigger & bought the Steve Madden sandals online last night, but I'm so glad I didn't b/c I found an identical pair at Target today for a third of the cost! Yay! You can find Target's version by Mossimo {HERE}.

2. Magic Eraser for the Win!
I'm pretty sure I'm like five years late to the party on this one, but that's okay! ;) Usually, I'm super careful with the girls when they do crafts. For instance, we always wear our "art shirts" to help prevent any stains. Well, recently they were using Sharpies for a project, and I totally didn't think to put something down underneath to protect the table...and we had some major stains on our hands from the markers bleeding through. My sister-in-law mentioned that Magic Eraser would take it right off, who knew?! We actually had a box of Magic Erasers sitting in the back of our cleaning supplies for years (I think we got it when we lived in Biloxi??), and it had never been used b/c I didn't know what I would need it for. I think someone gave it to us when they were getting rid of stuff before a move maybe, I don't know...but whatever the reason, I'm so glad we hung on to them! They worked like a charm & our table looks brand new again! Yay!
1. Disney On Ice!
The Easter Bunny brought us tickets to Disney On Ice tomorrow, and we're all super excited about going! I'm also getting my hair cut tomorrow, which is waaaaaay over due, so it's going to be a fantastic day! There are few things more enjoyable than a fresh hair cut :)
Happy Friday, friends! Hope you have a fabulous weekend! :)
