A couple of weeks ago, the girls had their Winter Recital, which was Hadley's very first recital ever! Shelby & Hadley both did AMAZING!
Last year was literally FREEZING at the Helotes Cowboy Christmas Parade. Thankfully, we had delightfully mild weather this year! But we still treated ourselves to hot chocolate & yummy treats while we waited for the parade to start. :)

And last but not least, we spent our Christmas Eve Eve today at Enchanted Rock. We had the BEST weather--sunny & mid-seventies, a couple of us even have a touch of sunburn to prove it! ;)
On our way back home we stopped off in Fredericksburg for a bit. We walked through their little downtown area & grabbed some fudge to eat while we enjoyed all of their picturesque Christmas décor. They had the cutest little area for kids & a playground with sand, which made me reminisce about our Las Vegas parks. {We have countless pictures like the one below of the girls in the sand at the Summerlin parks!} The topography & views at Enchanted Rock also reminded us a lot of Las Vegas, and we talked about our trips to Red Rock & the views of the mountains from our kitchen windows in our old house. We certainly miss Las Vegas more than we ever thought we would!
Today was the girls' first official day of Winter Break, and Enchanted Rock/Fredericksburg was such a fun way to kick it off! We're looking forward to lots of fun family time over the next couple of weeks!
