Thanksgiving 2019

We kicked off our Thanksgiving trip to Georgia with a bang with the UGA game on Saturday, and the rest of the week was spent enjoying time with family! We even got to squeeze in a quick visit with Angela & her boys as they were in Suwanee spending the holiday at her parents' house.

For the previous three Thanksgivings, our little family of five has traveled over Turkey Day so none of our kids had any memories of "real" or "traditional" Thanksgivings. We went to Disneyland in 2016 when Brady was 4 months old, to the Grand Canyon in 2017, and last year we went to Austin. While those were three amazing trips and we're so thankful we were able to go to those places, we were really excited about the prospect of a family Thanksgiving again this year with all the fixings!

{we almost always get a milkshake from Steak n Shake before we board a flight out of the SA airport, it's a great way to pass the time!}

Our first night in GA, we went out to eat with my parents for dinner at Taco Mac. In the middle of our meal, I hear my dad tell Hadley to get off the floor. All of a sudden, I see her little head pop up over the edge of the table as she announces: "I'm just looking for my tooth!" & then she immediately ducked back down to continue her search. Apparently, her tooth popped out when she bit into a tortilla chip! We all turned our phone's flashlights on to help her look under the table for the missing tooth, and Hadley eventually spotted it! Our sweet server brought Hadley a little container to store her tooth in, which is what she is proudly showing off in the picture below. :)

{quite possibly my most favorite picture of Hadley of all time!}

{The flight home can sometimes be challenging b/c everyone is exhausted from the trip, but the girls had the best time playing together as we waited to board our flight in the Atlanta airport. They can fight and argue in the way that all sisters do, but this particular morning was literally all fun games! It was music to this mama's ears.}

{Nine years old & already starting the list of cars she might like to drive one day!}

{how cute is this guy?! always wants to wear his camo hat like Dada}
Thanksgiving 2019, you were a good one!!! Between the Griffins & my parents visiting in October & our Thanksgiving trip to Georgia, I feel like we have hit the jackpot of quality time spent with family! It has been so good for our souls to get so much time with our people!

We flew to Atlanta the Friday before Thanksgiving, and we flew back to SA on Black Friday. It was perfect to have the whole weekend at home to rest, recuperate, get unpacked, and start decking the halls for CHRISTMAS! Lots of Christmasy posts headed your way soon! :)
