Last year Derek was able to snag great flights to LA over Veterans Day, and we made a quick trip to Disneyland. Well, we had so much fun last year we decided to do it all over again this year! We had SO much fun! As I am typing this post, the low today in Eagle River is six degrees with a whopping high of 15 degrees--we sure enjoyed those sunny warm California days! Highlights of the trip: popcorn everyday for our popcorn loving girlie, our first viewing of the World of Color nighttime show at California Adventure {think the fountains at Bellagio in Vegas but with a Disney spin}--amazing!!!, countless rides on Big Thunder Mountain/Midway Mania/Astro Blasters {we are definitely in a ride-loving age for all three kids, and we are here for it!}, the kids' first rollercoaster ride with a flip/inversion {Incredicoaster} and nightly pit-stops at Panera for dinner on the walk back to our hotel each night!
Our last day of the trip we had to check out of our hotel by 11am, but our flight wasn't until 8pm. Thankfully there was a Cheesecake Factory & a showing of the new movie The Best Christmas Pageant Ever within walking distance of our hotel--it was such a fun way to end our vacation!
And the icing on the cake of our amazing trip was that two of my dear friends and co-workers from Marvelously Made were staying in a hotel a mile down the road from us for a conference--it was such a delight to see them!
So thankful for another trip full of memories!
