October 2024

October has come & gone, and the snow is officially here to stay! We felt like this was our most mild/most fall-like October here thus far, but it ended up being the snowiest/most winter-like October by the end! A few highlights of the month were the end of a great cross country season for the girls, the boys' camping trip, a quick work trip to Philadelphia for Derek, fall concert season for Shelby {she performed in the advanced orchestra concert, the jazz band concert, and accompanied the intermediate orchestra concert on the piano}, Brady's basketball season, Hadley starting her volleyball season at school, and last but certainly not least...SNOW!

{catching snowflakes!}

{Hadley was on pancake duty when Derek was in Philly. I love that she was listening to an audiobook while making pancakes!}

{our school district has a few days off & a few half-days during October, which we thoroughly enjoyed!}

{These pictures are out of order...this was Brady eagerly watching one of the first snowfalls of the season}

These next two pictures are from Brady & I voting at the library for our favorite book characters--so fun!!

{the view from Brady's homeschool P.E. class...it never gets old!}

We had early morning dentist appointments one day this month, and these two made themselves right at home in the waiting room! Hadley was listening to an audiobook & knitting while Brady was lounging on another couch & listening to his audiobook.

{Brady & I typically go to the public library after his homeschool P.E. class each week, so the girls don't get the opportunity to go to the library quite as often as they usually do anymore. On this particular day, Hadley had an Eagle River Spinners meeting at the library so Shelby & I had two hours to scour the shelves & read..I think it's safe to say Shelby enjoyed herself!}

{life in Alaska means college football starts very early in the morning!}

{fall school pics}

{I love finding Hadley with an audiobook & handwork!}

{jazz band concert night!}

{Hadley crocheted this cutie monster!}
