Flying Solo!

Sadly, we had to say our goodbyes to my mom & sister yesterday afternoon. My mom had been here since March 16th, and my sister had been here for about 4 days. They were both such a huge help to us, and it was really hard to see them go. Take just yesterday for example..we had Hadley's 2wk check-up at 8:40 in the morning and then newborn/family pictures at 10am. Of course, I overslept my alarm by an hour and then had to get Hadley to the doctor in crazy winds & pouring rain. Thankfully, my mom & sister took care of the girls so I could get myself ready for the day. Then my mom stayed home with Shelby while my sister dropped me & Hadley off at the hospital so we wouldn't have to trek through the bad weather. Our appointment ran late, so we had exactly 30 minutes to get the 4 of us picture-ready and then over to the photographer's house. We wouldn't have been able to do that without my mom & sister's help! Then my sister kindly accompanied us to the photo session to help entertain Shelby while my mom hung back and worked on my laundry. I sure am lucky, huh?!

The first two weeks of Hadley's life have been relatively easy thanks to our happy helpers...and thanks to Miss Hadley being such a good sleeper thus far! ;) But I would be lying if I didn't say that I'm a bit scared & nervous to take on both girls by myself for the first time. But I'm also excited to see what our new normal is going to look like with these two sweet girls! Wish me luck! :)
