A Peek at Our Week

Here's a peek at the past week through the lens of my cell phone... 

Shelby had a BLAST "helping" Daddy wash cars!

Shelby didn't want to venture too far away from the bucket
of bubbles, so this portion of Mommy's car got VERY clean! Ha!

After washing cars, Shelby found one of Hadley's receiving blankets in the back of my car.
She used it as a cape while running through the sprinkler. ;)

We checked out a book on CD at the library, and Shelby loved it!
She totally surprised us by actually being able to follow along with the book
and turn the pages when the CD prompted her to. Lucky for Shelby, I have
a bunch of books on CD from my teaching days!

Every morning, we read Shelby books while she drinks her milk. Daddy had
this particular day off, so Shelby got to have her morning milk & stories with
Daddy in bed. It was a special treat for both of them!

We are currently enjoying Derek's first weekend off in over a month and celebrating the fact that he is officially DONE with wards as a resident!!!!! Yesterday marked his last call of residency, and it was SUCH an incredible feeling for both of us when we walked through the door last night at 10pm knowing it was over! I am so very proud of him! We are enjoying a laid-back weekend with nothing on our agenda  & eagerly anticipating the fun that awaits us over the next week or so...Derek's birthday, my mom's arrival, Derek's graduation dinner, a little get-away to the Beau Rivage for Derek & me!!!!!, Derek's mom's arrival, & Derek's graduation ceremony! Lots to celebrate!
