Weekend 'O Fun!

We had the most fun weekend last weekend! It was seriously jam-packed full of fun, all thanks to my Mama! The fun started on Thursday evening with Derek's graduation dinner. This was our first night out together since Hadley was born, and it felt so good to be out! It was such a fun night with friends! My mom snapped a couple quick pics of us before we headed out the door :)

Then on Friday afternoon, we checked into the Beau Rivage for our little get-away! We had a very low-key evening...we were mostly just excited to be getting a night of uninterrupted sleep! We went to Mellow Mushroom for dinner, went to Target and got lots of fun stuff that we didn't need, (made a quick pit-stop at home to drop off some milk I had pumped & our leftovers from dinner), people-watched at the Hard Rock Casino, got Ben & Jerry's for dessert, and then people-watched at the casino in the Beau before calling it a night! Let me tell you, that bed at the Beau Rivage was delightful! It's amazing what a good night of sleep will do for you! We enjoyed the luxury of being lazy in bed on Saturday morning and taking our time getting up & showering...the things we totally took for granted before having kids!

On Saturday afternoon, we took Shelby to our friends' house after she woke up from her nap for a BBQ. It was a fun afternoon with good friends! Grammy hung out back at the house with Hadley while we were gone. It was so funny to us how "easy" it seemed going to an event like this with just one child in tow!

On Sunday, Derek kept the girls for a few hours while my mom & I went out to lunch together, got massages, and did a bit of shopping at Kohl's for a belated Mother's Day celebration. As much as I love Shelby & Hadley, it was nice to get some quality time with my mom without them around. ;)  Speaking of Shelby & Hadley, my mom & I found the cutest matching dresses for them while we were at Kohl's--why are matching outfits so much fun?! ;)  Then after my mom & I got back to the house, she insisted that Derek & I go out for dinner while she kept the girls again for us. ;) 

To say we were spoiled by my mom last weekend would be quite the understatement! My mom's selflessness never ceases to amaze me! Thank you for all you do for us, Grammy!

I guess we were having so much fun last weekend that there just wasn't any time for pictures! Ha! So I will leave you with a random photo of Hadley's first time in the bumbo seat :)  Her expression in the photo cracks me up!!!

I'll be posting about Derek's graduation next...I still can't believe residency is over!!! Hope everyone is having a wonderful Father's Day Weekend...we certainly wish we could be celebrating with our Grampy, Pop-Pop, & Granddad this weekend! We love you & miss you VERY much!
