Disney World, Day 3: Animal Kingdom & Magic Kingdom

We spent our third morning at Disney World at Animal Kingdom.

Shelby was cracking all of us up on the safari! Above each of the rows of seats in the safari, there was a small chart with
all of the animals' names & pictures listed that we might see. Shelby was obsessed with this chart! She spent more time
studying this chart then looking at the animals! As soon as she would spot an animal, she would immediately refer to the
chart to find its corresponding picture! ;)  It was hilarious! She probably would have been happier with just the chart!

I can't adequately describe what a joy Hadley was at Disney World! I was very hesitant about this trip b/c of her age. I thought taking her at 5 weeks old was going to be easier than 12 months old. When she was a newborn, she slept or nursed or was held the whole time...so it was relatively easy..aside from the annoyance of nursing and baby-wearing in the heat. I was so worried about Hadley this time around b/c she does NOT sleep on the go. I was worried about bottles {she'll only drink warm bottles, so she was only able to get bottles in the hotel}, I was worried she wouldn't be content in the stroler for so long..you get the idea. ;) But she couldn't have done better on this trip! We all said countless times how lucky we were to have such an easy-going baby. She was happy the whole trip to chill out in her stroller, eat snacks, and people-watch. ;)

After lunch, Grammy & Grampy took Hadley back to the hotel to nap while Derek & I took Shelby to Magic Kingdom for the afternoon parade there. We had heard that Anna & Elsa from Frozen would be at the parade, and Shelby is ALL about Anna & Elsa these days! We listen to the Frozen soundtrack on repeat at home & in the car!! So we knew we had to head to Magic Kingdom for this parade & had our fingers crossed we'd see them there...thank goodness we did!!!!

Of course, we had to get ice cream before the parade!

Mission accomplished!!! We saw Anna, Elsa, and Olaf...and Shelby was over the moon!

More floats from the parade....this was definitely one of the highlights of our trip! Shelby got SO excited every time she would spot the next float with new characters! She loved everything about it!!

We went to see Tiana immediately after the parade, and Tiana told us that Prince Naveen needs a good hour after the parade to get his hair "just right." ;)  We thought she was joking, but then another cast member told us the exact same story! Who knew the prince could be more high-maintenace than a princess?!

After meeting Woody & Jessie, we headed back to our hotel for my dad's birthday dinner! It was fun to get to celebrate his birthday with him at Disney World!
