Disney World, Days 1 & 2: Magic Kingdom & Downtown Disney

We spent our first day at Disney World at our favorite park--Magic Kingdom!!

Teacups!

Dumbo!

Carousel

Move It Shake It Parade

Shelby LOVES Toy Story, so she was excited that Buzz was the first character we saw at Disney World!

Mickey Mouse ice cream bar :)
We headed back to our hotel for late naps & dinner before heading back to Magic Kingdom later that evening for a few rides followed by the Electrical Parade & fireworks! This wass one of my favorite parts of the whole trip!

We were SO worried about keeping Hadley up so late to watch the parade & fireworks. We didn't get back to our hotel room
until after 11pm! But all that worrying was for nothing! She was totaly enamored by all of the lights & waved at every
single float as it passed by! It was the cutest thing! Derek & I couldn't get over it! We probably each said to one another how cute she was about 100 times during the parade! ;)

Obviously, some of these pics are out of order...but this was Hadley on the train! She loved it!

Attempting a family pic with Buzz

We realized after this picture that Hadley wasn't a big fan of the characters ;)  Can you see her face?
She was about one minute away from losing it!

We were at Disney World for a total of 5 days, and we purchased 4-day park hopper passes. So we had planned for a rain day or "rest day" while we were there. After our long travel day on Sunday and then our super late night at Magic Kingdom on Monday, the rain on Tuesday couldn't have come at a better time for us! We had a big breakfast at the hotel's restaurant on Tuesday and then read & played with the girls in our room before letting them take long afternoon naps. When they woke up, the rain had passed through so we hopped on the bus and headed over to Downtown Disney! This was our first time ever going to Downtown Disney. It was super crowded, but a lot of fun to walk through & look around. There were tons of restaurants, toy stores {Shelby loved looking in all of them!}, character statues, and a carousel & train ride for little ones.

Shelby enjoyed posing with all of the character statues & playing in the toy stores!

After dinner, we of course found a candy shop. :)  So thankful that Shelby has a sweet tooth like her mama!

Lots more Disney pics to come! :)
