Christmas Day 2015

Shelby was such a good sport on Christmas Morning waiting for her little sister to wake up. Shelby is typically our early riser, but she was up even earlier than usual the week of Christmas b/c she is quite literally too excited to sleep when Grammy & Grampy are here. ;) All of that to say, Shelby was VERY patient waiting to open up all of her grifts. Shelby was up before 6, and Hadley wasn't up until around 8:30. When Shelby first came downstairs Christmas Morning, she was thrilled to discover that Santa left her a couple of cookies. :)

Shelby surveying all of the gifts while Hadley was still snoozing :)

Once Hadley was awake, we let the girls open their stockings before breakfast :)

I love Shelby's expression here! Santa did good with the princess flashlights!!

Time to open gifts!!

These new umbrellas for the girls were another huge hit from Santa!

Grampy showing off his new shirt :)

Freddy's Fry Sauce!!!!

Grammy opening her spa gift card! I made an appointment for us to have manicures & pedicures at a spa near La Cantera the day after Christmas during the girls' naptime. We had such a great time getting pampered & then doing some shopping together!!! It was such a nice treat!

Grammy showing off her new Shutterfly calendar!

One of my favorite memories from this Christmas...seeing Hadley with her new baby dolls! She was in heaven!

Once the Christmas chaos was cleaned up, it was time for our first viewing of Inside Out! The girls were so excited to receive this DVD from Grammy & Grampy for Christmas!

Stories with Grampy before naptime :)

After naptime, Shelby enjoyed trying out all of her new games & toys!! :)

Making necklaces with a new kit from Auntie Em & Uncle Chris

Miniature air hockey!

As much as we would have loved to spend Christmas in Georgia or in St. Louis with my extended family, we are so thankful that we were able to celebrate Christmas and make memories in our own home without the stress of traveling. It was such a blessing to be able to spend all of Christmas Day together as a family without anywhere to go or anything to do except spend time together. It was such a wonderful day! And we're so grateful to my parents for being willing to travel to San Antonio so we were able to be in our own home + have family here with us...it truly was the best of both worlds for us! Such a special Christmas!
