Two Months

On September 5th, Brady turned two months old!!!

 

At his 2 month visit, he weighed 13 pounds & 7 ounces (81st percentile) and measured 23 inches (78th percentile). Just for comparison, Shelby was 13 pounds & 2 ounces at 2 months and measured 23.5 inches. Hadley's 2 month visit was about 11 days late, but she weighed in at a whopping 15 pounds (!!!!) and measured 24.4 inches. It's funny how the percentiles are already so different for boys and girls in infancy. Despite the fact that Shelby & Brady had very similar heights/weights at the 2 month mark, Brady's percentiles hovered around 80 whereas Shelby was at the 99th!!!

Brady is such a sweet baby, and we can't get enough of his smiles & coos! He has had to put up with a lot the past couple of weeks as we adjust to our new routine of Kindergarten & preschool drop-offs and pick-ups, but he is such a trooper! We log a lot of hours like this:

I usually wear Brady in the baby carrier as we walk to/from school in the mornings and afternoons, and this is seriously his happy place! He always falls fast asleep when I wear him & he usually naps for about an hour on me in the morning & three (!!!) hours in the afternoon.

This boy is nothing if not loved. Shelby loves to hold Brady, read to him, and talk to him. Hadley refers to him as "her baby" and wants to love on him at all times. She even helps me change his diapers!

Brady was sleeping in his bouncy seat in the kitchen when he suddenly woke up & started crying. I was in the other room, and by the time I got to the kitchen to check on him, this is what I found--Hadley sitting in "my" chair in the kitchen bouncing his seat with her foot to pacify him just like I always do. She's such a good big sister!

Laying with Brady on his little activity mat is a new favorite pastime for everyone ;)
