Field Day 2018

Field Day 2018 is in the books! Both of the girls' classes had Field Day today, so Brady and I spent the morning bouncing back and forth across the school to see both of them in action! {K-2 had Field Day together, but Pre-K was on the opposite side of the school.} The girls had so much fun {and Brady even got to join in the fun on the Pre-K side!}, and I loved getting to see them in their element with their classmates! It was a fun day for all of us, but it sure wiped us out!

Shelby had piano after school today, and by that point I was just worn out! I let these two get comfy on the couch with books, blankets, and PBS Kids {and a snack for Brady!} and they were happy as could be...and I got a few minutes to just sit. It was just what we all needed after a long day in the sun! {Hadley's class had a pirate theme this week, and she's been wearing that eye patch ever since!}

Tomorrow is our last day of school, and the girls are excited for summer but they both went to bed a little sad tonight. I love that they love school so much! It's bittersweet knowing that this will not only be their last day of the school year, but also their final day at their beloved school with their sweet friends & teachers. It's the beginning of the end of our time here, and I think the girls {especially Shelby} are starting to feel the emotions that come along with that. I remember how nervous I was sending Shelby off to her first day of Kindergarten last year in a school where we knew no one, and now it's a place where my babies are known and loved. We'll tearfully say our goodbyes tomorrow to Bonner tomorrow, but we're excited for what lies ahead!
