Summer Vacation 2019 {Ormond Beach, Part 2}

And just for fun, here was Shelby's first visit to Ormond Beach back in 2011:

These next pictures are all taken at a little park we love in Ormond, and then a flashback of Shelby & Grampy at the same park back in 2011.

All three kiddos LOVED the beach & had the BEST time playing in the sand each day. Hadley totally found her groove with boogie boarding this year & it was really fun to watch her riding the waves in! Shelby's favorite thing to do was to go out deep into the ocean with Dada, Grampy, Uncle Chris, and Clayton. Brady didn't like to go out too far into the ocean on his own, but he loved it if Derek put him up on his shoulders.

On the morning of June 29th, we dropped Derek off at the airport to make his way back too San Antonio & the rest of us headed back to GA! This is what two weeks at the beach will do to ya:

We've been vacationing in  Ormond Beach since my sister & I were in middle school, and I've always loved it. But after moving away from my family in 2007, these trips have taken on a new meaning for me. Going to Ormond was suddenly so much more than just going to the beach--it was the only time/place I had my family to myself free from any other distractions. It's such a special time that I will always cherish. So thankful for another year of memories thanks to Grammy & Grampy!! Until next time, Ormond!
