While we were at Ormond Beach, we took advantage of being 90 minutes away from Orlando & went to Magic Kingdom for one day with my parents. It was so much fun! We went to Disneyland 4 times while we were living in Vegas (it was so nice living just 4 hours away!), but this was the first time we'd been to Disney World since 2015 when the girls were 5 & 3. So this was Brady's very first trip to Disney World + our very first Disney trip with kids and NO STROLLER! Craziness. We were there when the park opened, and we stayed through the fireworks {which meant we left our condo around 6am that morning and got back around midnight}. It was a long, hot day filled with memories galore!
This first picture might be my favorite of the whole bunch--my parents have been with us every single time we've been to Disney World! What a blessing! It truly wouldn't be the same without them.
We started the day by walking to the ferry & then riding the boat over to Magic Kingdom! This was our first time doing this with the kids because we'd previously stayed on property.
Let the rides begin!!!!
{couldn't love this picture more!}
{our first time ever riding Seven Dwarfs Mine Train!}
{Parades are always one of the highlights of our trip, but due to COVID they were just running mini character cavalcades. This is a picture of us watching one of those.}
{Jungle Cruise!}
I have no pictures of it, but the best part of our day was the fireworks display at the end of the night! It was by far the best fireworks show we've ever seen at Disney. For the first five minutes or so, Brady would yell "Woah!" after every single firework. It was the cutest ever. He watched the entire show from my arms, and I'm just so thankful for that sweet memory. Here's what the end of our long day looked like....
Even though we hadn't been to Disney in a few years, nothing had changed--our kids' favorite ride is still Under the Sea-Journey of the Little Mermaid, which is what we affectionately refer to as "The Ariel Ride" in our family. We rode the Ariel ride 4 times in one day! My personal favorite is still Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. ;)
And we totally lucked out with the weather! There was a significant chance of rain that day, but it ended up being almost completely dry. It started raining while we were inside a restaurant eating dinner--perfect timing for us! We contemplated breaking out our ponchos, but it just rained off and on a bit after our dinner. We were able to wait out the heavier rain inside stores {we love shopping for souvenirs!}, and then the rain completely cleared up in time for the fireworks!
It was such a magical day!
