We flew back to ATL from Punta Cana on Wednesday night and then stayed at my parents' house for a couple days to visit with family & friends as well as squeeze in a couple of early Christmas celebrations. We just got back to Biloxi on Sunday evening. We had a
wonderful time in Punta Cana & seeing everyone at home, but boy are we happy to be back in our house and settled for a while! We currently have no scheduled trips on the immediate horizon, and that is
such a good feeling!!! Since we got home, we have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off trying to unpack, sort through all of our new Christmas loot from our families, tackle laundry, and
finally get our Christmas cards ready to be mailed. Nothing like waiting until the last minute, right?! Between all of our traveling & us getting sick, we had to reschedule our family photo shoot a few times which meant Christmas cards didn't get ordered until last week! But the important part is they are done, and I love how they turned out! :)
Anyhow, in an effort to completely wrap up our Punta Cana on the ole blog, I had a few more pictures I wanted to share.

I was so thankful that Derek did a recap of our trip for me on the blog to save me a little time. :) But it was seriously such a great trip! It was so nice to just sit on the beach, sip on fruity drinks poolside, sleep in, eat whenever we wanted, etc. We had a great time in Europe last month but we very busy sight-seeing. But this was the perfect relaxing vacation! I can't remember the last time I have slept so good! :) And the wedding was seriously a blast! We had never been to a destination wedding before, so we really didn't know what to expect and only had 2 other good friends going that we knew (aside from the bride & groom, of course!). They had a pretty big group of people attend--maybe 50ish--and most of the people didn't know one another beforehand, but you would have never known that by how much fun everyone was having! I have also never been to such a fun wedding--between the dancers (they had hired girls to do a dance number, then a couple guys did another dance), fire show, all the dancing, witnessing new Persian traditions (like a knife dance!)..it was such a fun night! Definitely a wedding I will never forget!
And here are a few pictures from Shelby during her time with Grammy & Grampy while we were in Punta Cana. I never know who has more fun when we leave--us, Shelby, or Grammy & Grampy!! ;)

Grammy & Grampy took Shelby to Bass Pro to see Santa & make a Christmas
craft, but they said this was her favorite part of the evening: climbing on & off
the four-wheeler! Silly girl! :) |
A BIG thank you to Grammy & Grampy for keeping our Shelby-girl so we could enjoy our trip! We are so thankful for you! When we pulled up into our driveway after getting back from GA on Sunday evening, we excited told Shelby "We're home!!!" She replied: "Go to Grammy & Grampy's house?" :)
