And she woke up this morning as a FIVE YEAR OLD!! I know it's so cliche, but it serioulsy feels like yesterday we were in Biloxi with our brand-new baby girl and suddenly here we are with a smart, kind, and funny kid who reads & writes like a pro, loves a good knock-knock joke, and has a sweet tooth like her mama.
We had a great day celebrating our big girl with my mom here in town with us! As I tucked Shelby into bed tonight, she told me how lucky she was to have us as her family and then informed me that in only 5 more years she would be 10! ;) We are so blessed to be this girl's parents!
Happy Belated Birthday to Shelby! I have been thinking about her birthday and planning to acknowledge it, but of course, it snuck right by me! I hope she had a wonderful day and enjoys being a big 5 year old!
