| I couldn't believe how much Hadley's hair had grown since we had it cut the first time at the end of May! |

| Hadley will rarely pose for a picture, so here's the best picture I could get of the finished product ;) |

I thought about running to Target after Chick-fil-a to pick up a couple quick things, but the girls were just having the BEST time playing in the playplace & I didn't have the heart to pull them away. Shelby can make a friend anywhere, and this girl was practically their BFF within minutes. They kept doing the biggest squeeze hugs like this one--they probably did this at least 20 times!! They were a mess!
Thursday night was Parent Orientation at Shelby's school, so Derek & I made a little date night out of it! ;) We grabbed a quick dinner at Jimmy John's before heading over to Shelby's school. It was fun for Derek to get the chance to see the new school building & to hear the philosophy and vision of the school in person from the director.
Friday was Open House for Miss Shelby! The school does a fabulous job making Open House an event soley focused on the kiddos. Only one parent is allowed to accompany each student to help avoid crowding, and no cameras/phones are allowed at Open House. I wanted to snap a quick picture at home before we left to mark the occasion, and Miss Hadley--who never wants to pose for a picture--had to jump in for the photo op, too! ;)
Saturday morning was spent on the Guadalupe River, which you can read about {HERE} in case you missed it. We intentionally planned to skip the girls' naps that afternoon so we could linger & enjoy our time on the river, and we were really glad we did. It was so nice to not feel like we had to rush to get back home by naptime. When we got home, we let the girls snack & play around the living room while we watched the first UGA game of the season and then ordered some pizza for dinner. The girls were bathed & in bed by 7, and we celebrated by watching more college football! ;)
Sunday was a nice, low-key day after our fun-filled Saturday! We just went to church & Derek grilled out for dinner. Monday was the last day of the season for Aquatica, so we of course spent our morning there!!
Now that our "Summer Goals" are all complete, college football has begun, Labor Day Weekend has come & gone, and a new school year is upon us...I think it is officially safe to say that summer is over! Even though it still certainly feels like summer and we spent our morning today at the pool! ;) I guess we should be thankful though, the highs have dropped from 100 degrees to the mid 90s this week! :) All I need are my fall shows to start back up, and I'll be a happy girl!!!!
