Hadley's Birthday Weekend!

We had a great, low-key weekend celebrating our birthday girl! We specifically planned our returning flight home to San Antonio for the morning before Hadley's birthday (Friday) to give us almost a whole day to get unpacked & settled back into our routine, so that way we could fully focus on Hadley on Saturday & enjoy the celebrating!

We kicked off Hadley's birthday morning with cinnamon rolls, per her request!

Next up on the agenda was opening presents! :)  I think Shelby was more excited about Hadley opening her presents than Hadley was, ha! ;)

Shelby was reading Hadley's new book while Hadley moved on to the next gift to unwrap ;)

After opening presents & playing for a little bit, we headed over to Chuck E. Cheese for lunch & games! We had originally planned on going to Kiddie Park, but it was crazy windy that day..so we decided on something indoors instead.

Shelby was loving this little ride, but the birthday girl wasn't quite so sure ;)  Also, please notice the two bracelets on Hadley's right arm AND the Sofia amulet she's wearing...she definitely looked the part of the birthday girl!

And a third bracelet on her left arm while also sporting her new flip-flops even though it was cold & windy outside!!
It was her birthday, so we just went with it! ;)

After Chuck E. Cheese, we headed home for naptime...both girls napped until after 5pm! A week in Georgia + birthday fun makes for two tired girls!

After a quick dinner, we got to work on making birthday cupcakes!

While the cupcakes baked, we braved the wind & headed outside to try out Hadley's new Tball set!

Check out the intensity on this girl's face!!!

After Tball, it was time to decorate our cupcakes & sing to the birthday girl!

On Sunday, we had our usual breakfast of pancakes & then headed off to church. But it was a big day at church b/c it was Hadley's first time out of the nursery, and she got to join Shelby's class! The girls have been SO incredibly excited this!!! I knew Hadley would do GREAT, but I'd by lying if I said I wasn't a teeny bit nervous for the two of them to be in class together! I wasn't sure if Shelby would smother her or if Hadley would listen well for all of the "big kid" activities, but it couldn't have gone any better than it did! And both girls were talking a mile a minute about how much fun they had when we picked them up after the service, which just about made my mama heart burst. I asked Shelby if she invited Hadley to play with her & her friends at church, and she told me that she only played with Hadley. When I asked her why, she looked at me like I had holes in my head & said: "Why would I play with my friends if Sissy is there? Sisters are better than friends!" ;)

Picking wildflowers after church :)

The girls napped again until 5ish on Sunday afternoon, and then we rounded out the weekend with a family dinner at Jason's Deli...yum yum!! It was such a delightful weekend celebrating our Hadley Mae!!!! I just can't believe it's possible that she's THREE! We love you, Hadley!
