THREE!

Things have been a bit quiet on the blog lately b/c the girls & I were enjoying Shelby's Spring Break in Georgia for the past week! We had the BEST time, but after Derek being gone for a week in LA with his conference & then us girls being gone for a week...we were more than ready to get back to normal! :)  I've got oodles of pictures & stories to share with you from our trip, but we can do that later b/c today Hadley is THREE!!!!

Hadley's birthday started out in the sweetest way possible. Shelby has never once in her life gone into Hadley's room without permission when she's been asleep, but today at 7:30am as I lay half-asleep in bed I heard Shelby run into Hadley's room shouting "You're three, you're three!" By the time I got upstairs, I found both girls sitting in Hadley's crib together just chatting it up. Shelby assured me she'd already heard Hadley chattering in her crib, so she knew Hadley was awake before she went in to get her. ;)  When I got the girls out of the crib, Hadley selected a book for me to read to her. Shelby immediately ran out of the room and came back in a flash with Dr. Seuss's Happy Birthday To You! in hand. She'd already pre-selected our reading material ahead of time for Hadley's birthday. ;)She is seriously such a sweet, thoughtful kid!

Today we are celebrating our sweet Hadley Mae! You know that old saying about sugar & spice? That is precisely what this girl is made of! She keeps on our toes for sure, you never know if you're going to get pure sweetness or lots of sass...but we wouldn't have it any other way! Happy 3rd Birthday, Hadley Mae! We're so glad you're ours!
