Tuesday Tidbits

--Ever since we left San Antonio, I have missed the Panera drive-thru in the worst way! We have a Panera super close to us that we frequent on a regular basis, but there's just not a drive-thru..womp, womp. I say all the time how much more I would go to Panera if only we had a drive-thru here. Well, well, well...recently our Panera launched a new delivery service!! I've been meaning to try it out for a while but just never did, and then this week I had a $5 off coupon to try with the delivery service. We tried it today, and it was amazing!!! Their website to order on was so user-friendly & the delivery was fast--I was just so impressed! It totally made my day! Added bonus--you can still take advantage of the $6.99 Tuesday bagel deal when you order online & have it delivered!! :)

--I recently finished this book. I've read a few other books in the "psychological thriller" type genre and enjoyed them, but I think this one was a bit much for me!

--My mom is coming next week, and we're all so, so excited!!

--My parents also have another trip out to Las Vegas booked for October. My dad has a conference to attend, and they're going to stay a few extra days with us afterward! We're going to make our first visit to Zion National Park while they're here!!

--Speaking of my family, I can now make this news "blog official:" Emily & Chris are expecting a baby boy in January!!! We're soooo excited for them! It will be so fun for Brady to have a little boy cousin so close in age to him! :)

--Shelby had a little "trial" piano lesson last week, and as we suspected she loved it. As we were walking out the door of the teacher's house, Shelby immediately blurted out: "I am DEFINITELY doing that again!" Ha! Shelby has always loved playing the piano at my parents' house, so we thought this would be a good fit for her. And as an added bonus--the teacher lives across the street from us about two doors down. :)  Between the move, our first kid starting elementary school, and a baby--extra-curricular activities were not an option last year for us. I knew Shelby was ready for something this year, but I didn't want to overcommit us and I really didn't want to be dragging three kids across town and trying to schedule things around a baby who still naps twice/day. Aside from the swim lessons we did back in May that were in our backyard, this is about the most convenient extra-curricular activity we could ask for! ;)

--Hadley attends Pre-K in the morning at our school, and we don't really know anyone in her class yet. We have a few friends with kids in the afternoon session of Pre-K, and they keep telling me how their little ones are somewhat clingy/teary every day at drop-off. Hadley is the total opposite--she doesn't even say goodbye to us at drop-off, ha! For a girl who can cry at the drop of a hat at home, she is the most well-adjusted kid at school you've ever seen!

{I had to nurse Brady as soon as we got home from picking Hadley up from Pre-K this morning. When I came out of Brady's room, this is how I found Hadley.}

--Shelby was excited to take her Monster of the Week stuff to school yesterday!

--For a city that is sunny and 110 degrees 99% of the time during this part of the year, yesterday was overcast & rainy. The eclipse was a total non-event here. Thankfully, we hadn't gotten glasses or done anything to prepare, so weren't disappointed at all. I just couldn't believe that was the ONE day Las Vegas decided to be cloudy & rainy!

Happy Tuesday, Friends!! Hope your week is off to a great start!
